Programs

Eleven Newark public schools currently participate in the KIDS IN BUSINESS® In-School program, including Alexander Street School, Boylan Street School, Camden Middle School, Camden Street School, Chancellor Avenue School, Clinton Avenue School, Discovery Charter School, John F. Kennedy School, Mt. Vernon School, New Jersey Regional Day School, and Robert Treat Academy Charter School.

Development Center Program

Development Center Program for Kids in BusinessThe KIDS IN BUSINESS® Development Center program complements the in-school program by offering after school and summer learning opportunities and employment for children and young adults, from age 14 up. The Development Center program also offers adults and senior citizens comprehensive computer training at no charge.

The Development Center program strives to remove some of the barriers that keep young adults from working and growing in a positive direction, erasing the double-bind that many participants face when searching for employment elsewhere, only to find that employers require work experience. More than just a job or training center, the Development Center program offers employment while learning, instilling in participants the desire to become lifelong learners and achievers.
